Purpose of loan: I am a hard working correctional officer (13 years with same employer) looking to consolidate some high interest rate credit cards. My financial situation: I have never been late on any payment, although I know my Prosper rating shows otherwise. The late payments reflected were caused by my ex-wife not paying a house note & car loan awarded to her during divorce proceedings in 2000. The house loan was my VA entitlement & car loan was in both of our names. My ex refused to refinance either & was finally forced to sell, but obviously not before dinging my credit. I re-married a wonderful gal in 2003 and we have been slowly chipping away at the debt incurred during my divorce, while slowly re-building my once AA credit. I?ve owned two homes and paid off two vehicles since my divorce, and would like to (sooner than later) get rid of the credit card debt accumulated during my divorce! We?ve only been in our current home for six months so an equity line of credit and/or refinance is not feasible at this time. My wife has been with her employer for 9 years and earns $41,000 year so our DTI is actually lower than shown. Thank you for your time. |
