Purpose of loan: The purpose of the loan is to promote my wife's real estate business. The market has been a little sluggish this last year and we are trying to recover from the slump. Because the market has been slow she has not had as many closings and her funds are a little short. She has incurred some expenses from her advertising and the new year's membership fees. This will be our 2nd loan with Prosper. We lowered our initial loan amount request on our 1st loan in order to secure funding. Our 1st loan has been paid on time and is current. (explain what you will be using this loan for) My financial situation: I am a civil service employee and have completed 3 years on my job in November, 2007. I feel my job is secure and I am blessed with a good salary. I have worked really hard to pay my bills on time and would be committed to continuing that trend. I would not do anything that would jeopardize my credit rating or score. My wife is also a retired AT&T manager and is currently a real estate agent. Even though the real estate market has been a little sluggish this year, traffic is starting to pick up and she is currently working with some new clients. She has recently found a job and is getting process this week. She will most likely start working the following week. She will continue to work her real estate business, which will also bring in additional income.
