Please read
and consider us as individuals with real past hardships. I was unemployed for a
year in 2002; I moved my family from Houston to Dripping Springs, near Austin, to make a better life. We have worked
very hard to recover from and repair our credit to truly reflect our current
situation. It is very unfair to be looked at from a cookie cutter type rating
system that doesn't show what you've been through and how far one has strived
to repair and improve credit scores! I've now been employed for over 3 yrs.
with a very stable company; I was promoted quickly to a management position and
have been in this line of business for 20 yrs. We are a two income family with
three kids and we were able to purchase our first home last year! In the
last three years we have opened 4 lines of credit including our mortgage; paid
them all early and more than minimum due to try to improve our credit. Right now we have
a very low Debt to income ratio of 6%. We currently only have 2 appliance credit
cards, a school loan and regular utilities and mortgage payments, both of our
vehicles are paid in full. The only recent delinquent negative credit was a
miscommunication with our school loan, I had requested a forbearance back in Feb.'06 through their online website, only to find out a month ago that it got lost
somewhere and they had reported the loan as 60 days late! I am trying to
dispute this and get it corrected; the loan is now in forbearance just until
October 2006 until we can get this repair taken care of. Because of my
unemployment we had a truck repoed, April 2003, after we closed on our house
they re-reported it on our credit as being repoed in April 2005! We paid on
this loan for 3-1/2 yrs. before we had to let it go! I am also trying to
dispute this discrepancy with the bureaus! Our desperate
need for a loan at this time is to pay for major repairs on our anaerobic
septic system, which has to be inspected and up to code with our county
guidlines or we will get fined and not allowed to use it! The repair cost have been estimated at 3-4K! Our combined income is 60K and I know we can afford to pay off a
loan up to 150.00 per month; I just don?t have it all at once to pay for these
badly needed repairs! We have pawned all our jewelry, even our wedding rings to try to cover this. I tried to get a loan at my bank to no avail, can you
please give us a chance to prove our credit worthiness, we will not let you
down. This will also help us to get our credit scores back up to reflect our
true current status and abilities to be in good standing in the credit world!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read all this, I hope I was able to
communicate our true situation and the urgency of getting a loan to take care
of our septic system asap! |
