I am a corporate transactions and securities attorney with DLA Piper, the largest law firm in the world. I spend my days counseling NYSE and NASDAQ listed companies with respect to securities filings and business combination transactions, with particular focus on transactions involving Chinese companies. I grew up blue-collar, and incurred more credit card debt than I should have while in law school and while studying Chinese and travelling and living in China and Taiwan, but the benefits to my career have greatly outweighed the initial hassle of incurring such debt. Purpose of loan: I want to obtain a lower interest rate on credit card debt. I will use the loan proceeds from Prosper to pay off a two Visa cards. I used the proceeds from my first Prosper loan to pay off a different credit card, which I cut up immediately after paying off. I will cut up the two credit cards that I will pay off if this second Prosper application is successful.
