Greetings. I've been a software developer for over 17 years. I've had a health issue (previously diagnosed as fibromyalgia and now correctly diagnosed as Post Herpetic Neuralgia from a shingles incident) for about 11 years that has affected my employment from time to time and kept me from getting ahead. I now have good treatment in place.

I started a job a few months ago as a senior software engineer focusing on business intelligence with an internet search company (Connexus) where I am making $90k base plus a guaranteed minimum 10% annual bonus paid quarterly, in a role with rapidly increasing roles and responsibilities.

I do not have any negatives on my credit reports, and the only reason I am an HR is that, at the moment, my credit cards are maxed out. I had about six months in 2007 where I was helping to remodel the duplex I was living in to assist the single mother (the relationship has ended for a while now), and I was also focusing on getting ahead in the distance-based bachelor's degree with WGU that I am trying to finish up by summer, and so I was leveraging my credit lines as a form of rainy day fund.

This loan would be to get out of $2500 in taxes for 2005 when I was self employed currently in an installment program with ongoing penalties and finance charges, to exit from a $5000 CashCall loan with 59.95% APR, and to take several credit cards, pay them off, and close them, to simplify my financial picture.

Monthly expenses are: $1600 apartment rent, $800 auto loan, $185 auto insurance, and miscellaneous expenses. I take home over $5400 per month. My plan in 2008 is to aggressively reduce the balances on my credit cards, which has already begun (last payday I paid down over $1000).

I appreciate the chance to get ahead faster than I can on my own.
