As a single mother of one, I've worked very hard to rebuild my credit reputation after a nasty divorce in 1999. With much hard work, I was able to purchase a home in 2004, however, with continuous rising costs and a teenager to help support I worked 1 full time job and did subcontract accounting for clients on the side for two years. When the company I worked for closed earlier this year, I took a leap of faith and incorporated my business in April. July was my first full month solo and my first month of business I doubled my income in July and almost tripled it in August (should have done this sooner I keep thinking). I now have 9 active weekly clients and agressively marketing myself for more. I truly believe honesty and integrity do pay off in the end. The purpose of my loan is to help my son obtain a reliable source of transportation, as we continue to throw good money after bad into his current vehicle. This will be my second time borrowing from Prosper. My first loan I paid off early! :) People can succeed...but only if they work hard when given that second chance.
