<span id="ctrlDescription_ctrlDescription_l">Greetings... and thank you for checking out my listing. I am a serial entrepreneur; currently the CEO of two successful entertainment industry companies. I am also a co-founder and the President of an online radio startup in Denver,CO. Over the years my career has been focussed on the radio and advertising industries and I have been rather successful. My more youthful years included working minimum wage jobs at radio stations and having very little knowledge of how credit works... but I've managed to keep my record clean. With one exception: a company I worked for in Las Vegas went out of business and did not pay my last lease payment as agreed. I tried to ignore the problem, and it bit me in the butt. That is the only delinquency on my credit report, and in early 2005 I paid it to a zero balance. Since then, I've been working hard to build credit. My scores are on the rise... and frankly the HR credit grade was a bit of a shock to me. (My median score at all three bureaus is 635) I make GREAT money now, have established SOME new credit accounts in the last 18 months... but feel my low score may also be a result of not currently owning a home. That will be my next challenge, and I've managed to save up some money for that when the time comes. During the credit building process, I've taken on some credit card debt at unusually high interest rates. I've been told that having SOME credit is better than none, so I took on those cards, have used them, and now wish to pay them down to zero balances so that I can eventually move on with better rates. Recently, Providian approved me for a $2,500 platinum card and I transferred some of the older debt to that card on a promo rate. I look forward to proving myself to the Prosper.com community. I actually became a lender first, having bid on someone else's loan about a month ago. I'm not a big timer... but someone who has watched and learned to the point of really appreciating what Proper does for people. I very much look forward to the chance to take a step forward in my own financial journey and also to disprove the HR ranking! To potential lenders: I would love to answer any questions or comments you may have about me or my businesses. I've read advise that cautioned against promising a faster payoff, so I'll cautiously add that my plan is to pay this loan off in 18-20 months... not 36. My companies both cashflow positive, and as extra funds are available, I'll pay this down. :) I am at Max Rate for my state and can assure you that what I may lack in credit grade between where I should be interest-wise and what the listing offers, I will make up with perfectly on time payments, and as mentioned, a planned early payoff. Also, as this is a re-listing (I shed my group and maxed the interest rate for my state) I was also asked about current my main monthly expenses. They are: Rent $1300, Credit Cards $150 and Car $446. I am at least one month ahead on all of the above. I never pay late. Lastly... many many thanks for your consideration. |
