Purpose of loan: This loan will be used to consolidate some high interest credit cards. My financial situation: I am a good candidate for this loan because I am a responsible adult who is committed to stabilizing my family's financial future. I am active in my community and church and have taken steps on my own to provide a better life for my family's financial well being. Both my wife and I are public school teachers. I switched careers 6 years ago and acquired a load of debt to make this change possible. I acknowledge that I have had some delinquencies that resulted from some late payments last summer. This past August, I left a teaching job that I had held for 5 years and took a new teaching position that pays 59% more, but it involves a 3 hour daily round-trip commute. Despite this increase in income, we still struggle to get ahead and avoid creditor late fees. If given the chance to consolidate my debt, I would be able to make payments on time, lower my interest rates, and make better financial choices in the future to protect my family.
