I am a Prosper lender and a physician in Ohio trying to pay down some credit-card debt and free up some cash for a down-payment on a new building. I practice with 7 other physicians and we are in the process of building a second office (we currently own part of the first and rent the second). My rate is unfortunately capped at 7% because of the Ohio limit of 8% minus Prosper's 1% buffer zone. As a lender, I have over 20 loans with one currently in default, so I know the risks of lending. I value my reputation, my credit score, and my ability to pay my debts. So, while the rate may be low, the risk is as well. Please feel free to e-mail me with questions.
