I am a Prosper lender and a physician looking to pay down some credit debt and free up some money for a down payment on a new building for our office. I am in a group practice in Ohio (please don't let the rate caps scare you off), and we are in contract for a second office building. This money will be used to pay off a high-interest credit card (19%) so I can free up some cash for the downpayment. I have good credit, and take my obligations seriously. As a lender, I have over 20 loans on Prosper and have already had one fully default, so I know about the risks of lending.
