Purpose of loan: Please help me pay off a high interest loan from a finance company (American General Finance), that will help me to get financially back on my feet after a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis in 2001 which crippled me physically and financially at the age of 37 My financial situation: Until 2001 I had AAA credit and owned my own home. My financial slide began after my diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. My insurance was not the best and was spending the major portion of my income on co-pays, drugs and Cobra insurance. Before my diagnosis I had a great job that I loved, and was compensated well..... Life was good. The progression of the disease caught up with me in 2002. That is when I became disabled and went on Social Security Disabilaty and consider myself retired. Since I had put a lot into the SS system during my lifetime, I am at the high end of the benfits scale ($1980 a month) After being on disabilaty for 2 years, I qualified for Medicare. This helped me out immensly with all of my healthcare costs, and enabled me to get back on track financially. Healthcare for the under insured is a nightmare and very costly. It was also during this period, my partner of 13 years left me and all the bills. Financially I have had a few rough years due to medical costs, the loss of a great income and life-style changes. Over the last few years I have been able to get back on track financially with much improved credit. I have not been late on a single payment since 2003. The $2846 loan that shows delinquent on my credit report is an error that I am currently working on to corrrect. This error is actullly an inacurate reporting by American General Finance. This specific loan was paid off, and rolled into my current loan with them which is the one this Prosper loan will be used to pay off . I have never been late with them or any other creditior since 2003. I have been working very hard to rebuild my credit after my bad year in 2002. My monthly expenses are $1246, with an income of $1960, leaving me $714 on the plus side monthly. My monthly expenses will even be lower when the American General loan is paid off with my prosper loan. I now only need $1900 to pay off my American General Finance loan since Santa was good to me this year. Thanks for your consideration and have a great 2008! Monthly net income: $ 1960.00 Monthly expenses:$ 1246.00 Housing: $ 300.00 Insurance: $70.00 Car expenses: $ 261.00 Utilities: $ 60.00 Phone, cable, internet: $ 65.00 Food, entertainment: $ 150.00 Clothing, household expenses $ 100.00 Credit cards and other loans: $ 240.00 |
