Purpose of loan: Thanks to all who bid on my first Prosper loan. I will be using these funds to pay off 3 credit cards. The APRs on those range from 23-30%. I work in a sales position for an international consulting group. My degree is in business administration, and my background is in executive recruiting and sales. I have owned my own home for the last three years. So far, I've completed $10K in home improvements. I really enjoy doing most of the work myself, including putting a patio in my backyard. In addition to my house, I own a timeshare, free and clear, in Myrtle Beach. My current financial situation is good. I was unemployed for 4 months in 2007. Since I started my new position, I've received 8 other job offers, so things are definitely looking up. I'm also expecting an income tax refund of roughly $900, which will also be applied to my debts. The two inquiries in my credit file are from my attempt to get my mortgage refinanced to a lower rate, which didn't materialize. I am determined to get this accomplished in 2008.
