I am an Executive Administrative Assistant to the Director of Information Technology at a local company that employs more than 500 people.  I began this job in February of this year, but I have been an Administrative Assistant for over seven years total.  My husband is a supervisor at a local manufacturing plant and has been employed there for over eleven years.

We have already had one loan through Prosper, which my husband and I have already paid back in full.  We used this first loan for a special long weekend away up in the Mackinaw Island area of Michigan for our 9th anniversary.  We had a wonderful time and we owe a debt of gratitude to the wonderful people here at Prosper.com who helped make it happen! So, to any of you who invested in that loan - thank you so much!!

We are now interested in taking out a second (larger) loan that we will hold for a longer term this time around.  We have several small miscellaneous debts that we would like to consolidate into one payment, including some small balance, high interest credit cards.

Obtaining this loan will accomplish three things to help us make progress on our financial plan -
  1. Reduce the overall cost of the interest rates carried on the various smaller debts
  2. Reduce the number of open/maxed credit lines on our credit report, therefore helping to raise our score
  3. Reduce the time I have to spend each week on the household finances and budget by almost 50%.
As we mentioned in our previous loan listing, we are working towards becoming as financially secure as possible and hope to become a lender on Prosper someday soon.  We really believe that this site is a wonderful alternative to the traditional lending institutions - and in addition, it brings a really great group of people together!
