Purpose of Loan: Finish Microsoft Office Specialist Certification & Consolidate Bills This Prosper loan would help put me to complete my MOS Expert Certifications in Word, Excel, and Access which will then enable me to obtain my Microsoft Certified Trainer designation. I also want to pay off past due bills that accumulated while my husband was off work with a back injury from Oct 2006 ? Mar 2007. I am an ambitious and goal-oriented Administrative Professional that is ready to show everyone just what I can do when I put my mind to it. I already have my MOS certifications in Outlook and PowerPoint, and am currently working full-time as an Executive Administrative Assistant at a local casino. Please help me follow my dream of becoming a Microsoft Certified Training Consultant. MOS Courses & Payoff Debt-MOS Courses (Level 3 - Word, Excel, & Access) $600 MOS Exams (Word, Excel, & Access) $375 Help me to bring my debts back under control $2025 TOTAL: $3000 I will be combining this loan from Prosper with $2500 from my student financial aid refund in mid January and an estimated $3500 from income tax refund in early February. This will provide me with a estimated total of $9000 to complete my certification and to pay off debts or bring them current. DQ's Explained and Public Records In 2002, I attempted to start my own business providing Administrative Assistant services on an outsourced basis. I poured everything I had into the business, but living in a relatively rural location, I did not have the success that I would have had if I lived in a metro area. I had to declare bankruptcy in 2003 as a result. In Oct 2006, my husband was badly injured and put off work for six months. We spent over a year fighting to get his injury covered under Work Comp, and finally settled for $5000 in November of this year? much less than what he would have earned during the six months that he was off, but we couldn?t afford the legal battle any longer. As a result of this year-long struggle, our credit has again suffered ? many of the DQ?s shown are medical bills, or credit cards that we had to use to get by while my husband was unable to work. My Financial Situation: I am employed full-time as an Executive Administrative Assistant and make just under $30k a year. I receive approximately $5,000 a year in child support for my oldest daughter. My husband is back to work and makes approximately $32k a year BEFORE overtime, and he always gets quite a bit of that. In addition, with the completion of my Microsoft Certification, I will be able to freelance as an onsite trainer for the entire Microsoft Office Suite for area companies.
