IMPROVING CREDIT RATING - bY DECREASING CREDIT CARD UTILIZATION Hello, I am in the process of qualifying for a mortgage. The loan officer I am working with has informed that if I pay off my Credit card debt the decrease in my credit card utilization would cause a score increase which would be beneficial in qualifying for the mortgage. My Experian report shows $3121 delinquent which is the result of two Capital One accounts that were charged off in 2005. They charge-offs resulted in judgments that have been satisfied. However Capital One contInued to accrue charges on the accounts after they were charged off. The combination of the two accounts equals the amount delinquent showing on my report. Monthly Net Income $4000 EXPENSES Credit Cards 375 Car Loan 425 Car Insurance 110 Children's Tuition 935 Rent 1175 Utilities 125 Prosper Loan 72 Food 325 Gas 150 Total Expenses 3692 All of my current revolving credit, my prosper loan, and my car loan have never been late. My current credit rating is the result of mistakes I made in the past before I realized the value of good credit. Thank you for taking the time to view my listing. |
