Purpose of loan:
To build a Barn and fencing. We live on a great farm not so far outside of DC and have great equity in our house but sadly enough we don?t have a barn or the ability to get a barn building loan, our parents hold the mortgage and sold us the house. We cant have a second mortgage or line of credit in the traditional sense with out paying them off first the banks want to be first! We want to build a four stall barn with a tack room and hay storage to keep our horses in and our two borders. We have boarders now at 400 a month but they will not stay with us unless we can provide shelter so we need to do this. Our house just appraised at 825k available at request to review. So we are in great situation we owe 170k on house. We can also raise the board to 350 or month with a barn. It would a great quality built barn by the Amish.
Barn is 18 k built on site wood siding metal roof by the amish
3k for electric work and permits
2k for water hook up and stone dust for stalls and around out side of Barn
2k for additional fencing and gates around barn and fields
My financial situation:

Wife as a federal job 8 years I have a design professional job 2 years and before that 5 years with design non profit.

I've noticed that at least two times Prosper has shown that payment was in transit, only to have Prosper later say no payment has been sent. Does anyone know how this is this possible? Does Prosper only need to hear the borrower say that payment is in transit with no other verification in order to tell us payment was in transit?

can you post the message this guy sent you upNin. I would be curious what this joker has to say. Also, is there any legal action that can be taken out against this guy if there truly is fraud?

prosper attempted to withdraw payment from bank account during the time it was late. That is why it showed up and then went away. He never made a payment, but Prosper attempted withdraw. I read about this on Prosper's website in the late loans/collections section.

There is no doubt in my mind that this loan is fraud. People who legitimately have this borrower's credit profile do not 1st pay default. Prosper is responsible for adequate fraud checks, right?

Is there anyway to pursue any type of legal action with the MD state attorney generals office? Or does prosper have to initiate this? Just looking for some thoughts.

It's up to Prosper...remember all that "paperwork" you e-signed in order to give them your bid? all your rights to pursue have been signed away...so contact the fraud dept. add your weight to the E-effort.
me, I fell for the horse.

Prosper said that this loan is currently "under investigation". Whatever that means. Maybe it will be repurchased. I will keep my fingers crossed.
