Purpose of loan: First of all, I want to thank those who bid on my first Prosper loan. I'll admit to being skeptical in the beginning, that?s why I got a small loan the first time. That loan is in good standing. I remember the first question a lender asked was, Why are you holding on to high-interest accounts? Good question! Now I would like to request a second loan to get rid of those, 4 high-interest credit cards. I'm also expecting an income tax refund of roughly $900. I became a homeowner for the first time three years ago. Unbeknownst to me, I chose a home inspector who didn?t have a clue what he was doing. When my water heater died, I discovered it was 27 years old! There were many other things that turned out to be way less than perfect. So far, I've put $10K into it for home improvements. I really enjoy doing most of the work myself. The two inquiries are from my attempt to get my mortgage refinanced to a lower rate, which didn't happen. I am determined to get this accomplished in 2008. I was unemployed for 4 months during 2007, which didn't help my financial situation. Thank you for your consideration.
