a) About Me: I am 53 years old, single and I have been retired for 11 years.
b) Explanation of Bad Credit: I have always been responsible with my finances but 5 years ago my credit scores slipped to a lower status because my only sister needed extensive help until she died at 36 of cancer and I had to file bankruptcy following - - - due to also some extra promised government related shortcomings for my ongoing disability. I have zero delinquencies/public records because since the bankruptcy there have been no other issues. But things have improved since then because numerous credits have been offered me and have never been late on any payments. My DTI (debt to income ratio) is normal because this August 2007 I moved to buy a home on two Federal Programs. I'm asking for a chance to prove myself once more and to get my credit scores up to where they should be. If you bid on my listing I promise that I will not let you or my team down. Making my payments on time will be my top priority each month by auto bank draft on my SSI, I sincerely promise you that and as you can see from my financial details, I will have the money to do it.
c) What I will Do with the Money Loaned to me: $3500.00 will pay off Citi Financial at 25% interest that I took before Prosper changed their rules within a month for 2nd loans during another previous $1500.00 I made earlier this year 2007. This high interest Citi Financial Loan I accepted impromptu needing immediate home improvements due to my disability requirements that was not furnished within the original loan USDA Rural Development offered for the mortgage. This new Prosper loan will get my car out from under the lien Citi Financial placed with their loan, which will directly in turn lower my car insurance, not needing full coverage insurance, but only liability as for the past ten years.
d) Here are my Monthly Financial Details:
Net income after payroll deductions from all sources: $10,404.00
Spouse's Income: $ (not married)
Total monthly family Income $ 10,404.00
Mortgage: $ 62.64
Phone/Internet: $34 Gas: $ 121
Electricity & Water: $ 136
Car Loan and Operating Expenses: $ 40
Food: $ 100Insurance: $ 94.90 (dental, auto & life)
Satellite: $34 Clothing, expenses for children, etc. $ 5 (no children)
Credit cards and loans that won't be paid off with my Prosper loan: $ 20
Other: $ 139.74-----------------------
Total Monthly Expenses : $ 787.28
I will have $139.74 + $6.00 + $79.72 = $225.46 left to make the payments on my Prosper loan.
e) Closing comments and further detailed explanation of circumstances:  In January 2007 I signed-up with USDA Rural Development House Loans and the approved loan was for $65,900 to buy a newly constructed home I waited all summer for . . . Although, this was never built, because the C & D construction company relied on a T.I.F (tax incremented financing) not gettable I later found-out by Indiana TIF law for private residences and taking a previous smaller Prosper loan to be ready to move in April or May this year under the false pretenses the company made. The older home now purchased on the same street at $56,900 & officially closed in West Terre Haute August 20, 2007 community. USDA's mortgage payments combined with HUD's Section "8" Home Buying Program will be $62.64 per month, which includes the escrowed annual property taxes and house insurance owed into this monthly payment. My status is permanently disabled for eleven years with severe sleep apnea and this is my first run through purchasing a home. Gratefully, I would welcome a re-investment in Prosper.com for a home improvement & consolidation loan better than the 25% interest offered on $3500.07 Citi Financial approved me for October 2007 to pay creditors & etc
