My profile details my debt situation: In short, I have debt built from surviving a pre-divorce separation with no child support; all credit card, car, and student loan debts were affected by that situation. I have wholeheartedly begun to educate myself and take action to improve my lot. I worked two jobs for months (teacher + Pizza Hut after school)--now I am working still as a teacher (come August--13th year as a teacher), and have begun training as an Independent Beauty Consultant for MaryKay. My MaryKay business is only part-time and I expect profits of about $200-$400 a month; I have also reworked my budget and paid off a loan that used to cost $180 month, so I will definitely be able to manage a payment of approximately $150 per month. I could slowly pay everything with my new budget, but meanwhile interest rates and past delinquencies continue to punish me--I am ready and willing to pay everyone off quickly with this loan, and then work comfortably on one loan: the Prosper loan. I am no longer the naive, overly-trusting, short-sighted, desperate single mom I used to be: I have learned my lessons the HARD WAY. I now research credit information, I have a 5-year plan (which includes college for kids + retirement planning), and I am not desperate, just tired of the molasses drip progress I'm making on my necessary debt. Thank you for your time and consideration. Please feel free to ask any questions I did not answer. |
