Thank you for considering my loan request!

Purpose of loan:
During my college years (studied Business, Accounting, Management, Law and Real Estate), I relied on credit cards and jobs to pay for living expenses and to run a small computer building company and a secretarial support service. I also helped people when they were in need, including with rent, home improvement materials and equipment.

I was debt-free last year. When we bought our second home this year, we dipped into savings for home repairs and upgrades. We want to get back on track again. This loan will help consolidate five credit cards into one payment with a lower interest rate and allow us to keep saving for the children and preparing to take care of aging parents.

Income:
My husband stays at home with the children and takes care of the children and household duties; that's his full-time job. It is a mutual agreement that has worked for us since 1997.

I've always worked multiple jobs so this is not new or difficult for me. My current income averages $3,000 bi-weekly from all sources:
1. Full-time job at a law firm
2. Part-time on-call job (promotional modeling--booked through April 2008)
3. On-call business consultant and bookkeeper
4. Real estate sales and loans (by referral only)
5. Freelance photographer

I will have to limit my promotional modeling assignments soon because we are currently expecting our third child. Getting this loan from Prosper will alleviate some of the anticipated cash flow crunch. I am in the process of selecting another job that will temporarily replace the promotional modeling income. I have much of my money tied up in non-liquid assets (CDs, mutual funds, IRA, 401K) which will result in huge penalties if I close them now. However, I do get dividends every month.

My financial situation:
The B rating is due to new mortgages and increased credit card balances from finance charges; scores will continue to increase as my mortgages become more seasoned and credit balances decrease.

I like to have control of my finances. I have always paid my bills (more than minimum) on or before their due dates. I have built several successful businesses and enjoy a comfortable life and want to be able to continue providing for my family and everyone I care about.

I anticipate that it will be mutually beneficial to keep this loan for as long as possible since it will be replacing five high-interest credit lines and I will pay on time so I could seek a second loan for the next batch of debts to eliminate.
