Purpose of loan: This is a second attempt to fund a debt consolidation loan. My first listing was cancelled as I never received my address verification card from Prosper. I am approaching Prosper as I wish to beat the credit cards to an anticipated rate hike; I want to cut up the cards and have a low, regular monthly payment. My financial situation: I am a researcher/Operations Staff member with a Chicago-based non-profit. I recently moved to the area (thus my short term of employment) to be closer to my girlfriend. I am reliable: I have never missed a credit card/loan payment, and always pay more than the minimum. My basic information: I have no dependents, and have never married. I am a recent college graduate who used credit cards too often instead of taking a part-time job. I have three active credit accounts--one with a low balance ($100)and a 20% rate; another with a high balance (just over $7,000) and a low introductory rate that will soon go very high; and one more with a balance of roughly $1,500 and a moderate rate--11%. Monthly net income: Roughly $2000 after taxes.
