Hello. Thank you for considering this second loan request. I have been a faithful Prosper member for nearly ten months. I am current on all my payments and have not been late. I am also an approved lender and looking for some loans to fund at this time. I received notification that I may apply for a second loan and the timing of this notification could not come at a better time. 2008 is promising to be a great year for my law firm. As mentioned in my member paragraph, I have been running my own law firm for the last five years. I am averaging approximately $160,000 per year in annual revenues. Please also read my member paragraph regarding my climbing credit score and past necessary credit issues. This year I am seeking to expand my firm by incorporating a mediation practice. I am an officially trained mediator, having taken over forty hours of classes. This is in addition to the number of hours I must take each year in continuing legal education. In my family law practice, mediation is a key tool used to assist my clients in reaching agreements that are in their and their children?s best interests. I have found great success with this practice and I am seeking to develop my mediation practice into other areas of law and the corporate world. Prior to practicing law seven years ago, I worked in the teleconferencing and broadcasting arenas for ten years. While working as a global project manager, I discovered how easily business and projects can be disrupted by employee conflicts. I have developed a mediation program for companies seeking to improve employee relations, thereby increasing company productivity and potentially reduce employment lawsuits and HR hassles. This second loan on Prosper would provide me the needed funds to pursue this business expansion. I am seeking a loan of $15,000. My first loan on Prosper was for $5,000 and was extremely helpful during a slow time of my business. This $15,000 would be used for the following: paying off my small credit card balances, programming and hosting of my new website, creation and printing of mediation brochures and materials, mailing costs for initial direct mail campaign, annual fee of enhanced web listing on dexknows.com, and a few miscellaneous travel expenses stemming from a recent death in my family. If my business expenses are less than the initial quotes, I would also like to place more funds in my lender account, so that I may help others as I have been helped. By paying off my credit cards, I immediately return approximately $320 per month into my budget from the monthly payments. Additionally, my surplus cash flow will increase with my annual influx of clients at the beginning of this year. The new loan payment will be easily made with these debts paid off and my additional income. While my credit history may be a little lackluster, I am an extremely dedicated person and committed to whatever I do. This is evident in my growing law firm. It was a tremendous leap to strike out as a solo practitioner, but I would not change the experience. I am very excited about this business expansion. If this proves successful, which I do not doubt, I plan to develop a team of mediators, who will specialize in dealing with interpersonal relationships for businesses and families.
