On my way to work this morning I got to thinking about my Christmas shopping and how much I will be spending. A majority of it will be put BACK on a credit card, and that thought botheres me now that I took out a Prosper Loan months ago to wipe them clean. Then it hit me. Why not take the second loan that Prosper offers? And so, with that, here's a little bit about myself from my first listing last spring: "I am 35 years old, and have a degree from Oregon State University. 3.3 Years ago, I left my job and opened my own business, a 3,500 sq ft retail tropical fish store called ?The World of Wet Pets?. In that time, I have earned enough money to pay my bills, but not get caught up on them. The business needs the money more then I do so far, but that looks poised to change this year. 14 Months ago, I had the opportunity to make some changes in my life and cut my personal debt load in half. Since then I have been increasingly interested in eliminating my last big debt, a high interest credit card that I have been chipping away at. Having heard of Prosper on NPR recently, I started looking into the possibilities. Now not only do I want to borrow money to improve my financial position, I hope to begin investing as money allows.
