Purpose of loan: Loan is to consolidate some high interest credit cards, a car loan and pay our final medical bills. My financial situation: Had a baby eight months ago and for the final nine weeks of the pregnancy I was home on bed rest and then there was six weeks of maternity leave, totaling 15 weeks off work. Since my work does not have short term disability, I was only paid for four of the 15 weeks leaving us without a paycheck for 11 weeks. Now that I have begun receiving full paychecks again we are having a hard time making headway due to the cost of daycare. Both my husband are college educated and work full time. I just began a part-time job and my husband works all the overtime he can to help bring in more income. My husband works in insurance claims and I am a director of media relations. By consoldating a few things we can save $151 per month which doesn't seem like a lot but is about one week of daycare. We have recenly cut out about $200/month in expenses of stuff we didn't need so we are up to an extra $350/month. We also have our house on the market. We are hoping to sell so we can cut our housing expenses in half by getting an apartment. Our goal is to have all of this taken care of by the time our daughter goes to kindergarten, leaving us approximately four years and four months. We know what needs to be done and are taking all the steps we can to accomplish our goals. Once we have everything in order I would love to become a lender on Prosper to help others who just need a hand to reach out to them. Monthly net income: $ 4100.00 Monthly expenses: $ Housing: $ 1356.00 Insurance: $ 175 Car expenses: $ 220 Utilities: $ 150 Phone, cable, internet: $ 150 Food, entertainment: $ 300 Clothing, household expenses $ 45 Credit cards and other loans: $ 950 (prosper loan will take care of $350 of this) Other expenses (daycare): $ 500 |
