I am a 49 (ugg..just turned) year old, caucasian female.I have a 20 year old who plays varsity college football. I have a great job as Regional Manager for an information and software company. I love my job, and after 5 years with my company I have been able to build a successful sales force. Early in my career, I had several business ventures. My last one was 8 years ago. I owned 7 restaurants with 2 other business partners. Long story short...One of the partners was stealing money which caused the company to fold and left me with almost $500,000 in judgments and I had to declare bankruptcy. I have gotten myself back on solid ground again with a safe and secure position with a great company. I am now trying to increase my credit score. I only have one credit card with a $350 limit, so it forces me to pay everything with cash. I have very little debt except for my home. I have a come a long way in a short period of time. I have also recovered financially from a divorce as well. College costs have not allowed me to be able to put the money I need aside for a new roof so I am turning to prosper.com I hope after I catch my breath with my expenses I will be able to return the favor and lend money to the system as well. This seems like a great concept! |
