Purpose of loan: I'm grateful that the Prosper lenders are willing to allow me a second loan opportunity. I received my first Prosper loan in June 2006 and I've never been late on a payment. I had improved my credit standing enough to refinance out of an adjustable rate mortgage which now stands at 10.8 and will reset in February 2008 to 12.4. I had a setback on the verge of this refinance that's embarrassing to me to tell...I was an authorized user on an account I had forgotten about and overlooked, my husband was late on a payment and my credit score was slammed down 100 points. I immediately paid off the account, had my husband close it and pleaded with the credit card company to remove the derogatory information from my credit record to no avail. I need your help. My best avenue now is to pay down the remainder of the credit card debt. I've continued to build business and income through my private practice services but that increase has been offset somewhat by my other obligations. My son has special needs and now requires a private school, my elderly mother is in nursing home both of which require my time and money. Your loan will greatly ease the monthly financial strain by clearing the debt and getting us into a low fixed rate mortgage. By my calculation, with the Prosper loan, I could reduce my monthly expenses by 1,500-2,000 per month which I could then route into savings and investment...what a huge relief that would be! My financial situation: I am one of six principal owners of a private practice firm that has enjoyed a prestigious reputation for over 21 years. I have a full practice, reliable referral sources of long standing, and I've more recently developed a group and retreat program that provides a much needed service. The group and retreat model not only enhances my profile in the community but also allows me to reach more clients at once thereby increasing my earnings. Despite errors like those I note above in my purpose of loan section, I see myself as responsible and conscientious. Thank you for your consideration.
