Purpose of loan: I'm hoping to get a loan through Prosper in order to pay off my existing car loan. I am currently paying almost $400.00 per month on my small 5 passenger vehicle which is no longer working out to well for my family. Several years ago it never crossed my mind that I would need to purchase a larger vehicle since it was only used for myself and my daughter whom I have full custody of. I was a single, divorced father for many years and didn't see myself ever getting remarried. But like they say, never say never. I met my beautiful wife and her son approximately 5 years ago. We've been married for a couple of years now. And just when I thought things couldn't get better, my wife told me she was pregnant! We now have a new beautiful baby girl! I couldn't be happier. However, we've now realized that the 5 of us aren't fitting to well in my car. Just ask the two older kids that are squished in the back with a monster of a car seat in between them. My wife and I were talking and started questioning how we'll ever even be able to go on vacation. With a stroller in the trunk, 3 kids squished in the back, our dog in the front with my wife, where will our luggage go??? (My wife refuses to fly, so all vacations consist of road trips, but that's a whole nother story in itself! LOL)! Not to mention that we want to have one more baby within the next year and a half. I'm wanting to purchase a decent minivan for my family. Unfortunately, the only way that I could really do this is to pay off my existing car loan with a new loan with a lower payment. With Prosper I believe that I can do this. (My wife will be paying a portion of the monthly payment on a new vehicle when we get one). My financial situation: Despite a messy divorce many years ago, I have managed to keep my finances under control. I have a stable job and a beautiful home. I work really hard to keep my credit looking good, my Prosper credit grade says a lot, it's an A! Monthly net income: $ 2300.00 to $2400.00 (Wife's income: $2800.00, not considered in the following expenses). Monthly expenses: My share of the expenses $ 1995.00 Housing: $ 1000.00 Insurance: $ 78.00 Car expenses: $ 392.00....THIS WILL BE PAYED OFF WITH PROSPER LOAN! Utilities: $ 75.00 Phone, cable, internet: $ 100.00 Food, entertainment: $ 150.00 Clothing, household expenses: $ my wife takes care of all this Credit cards and other loans: $ 200.00 Money left over each month: $ 305.00-$ 405.00 Car payment $ 392.00- Prosper loan $ 231.00 = $161.00 difference! |
