We currently have a Prosper loan out, and as you can see, we've ALWAYS made our payments on-time! About us: I am 26 years old; my girlfriend is 30 years old. We've known each other for over 7 years and are in it for life. We have 2 cats and 3 rats. I have been a Computer Technician for over 1 year now, and am happier now that I can do what I love to do. My girlfriend works as a File Assistant for a law firm, and she has been with the same company for 5 1/2 years. He writes: My girlfriend and I have known each other for 7 years. We both have had to deal with trouble in our lives. We hit some rough spots and were somehow able to make it through. We have the battle scars (bad credit and some debt to pay off), but now we both have good jobs and with the help of Prosper, we are now able to make ends meet. We both enjoy the companies that we work for; however, we both desire to become something greater than we are now and learn more about our respective professions. My girlfriend wants to get her Paralegal certificate and I would like to get my Computer and Electronics Technician degree, as well as my A+ and MCSE certifications. I need $1,500 to help pay for my tuition. She writes: We?ve had some financial struggles in the past, but with the help of our first Prosper loan, we were able to get back on track, get current with our bills, and start rebuilding our credit. Financially we are ok, but not yet able to put away a lot in savings to do what we both really want to do, which is complete school, and eventually buy a house together. I want to become a Paralegal but I can't borrow any money for school until my student loan is paid off. I have found a Paralegal school that I would like to attend for 1 year and then after I graduate I would like to obtain my certification as a 'Certified Legal Assistant'. I would also need $1,000 to help pay for my tuition. We are asking for just $2,500 to help us achieve these goals.
