First of all I would like to introduce myself: I am a single mother of a beautiful 5 year old girl. I have been employed with my first job at Kaiser Permanente hospital for 5 years. I have a very flexible schedule which allows me to go to school. I am currently a student majoring in Criminal Justice for my B.A. degree. Afterwards I plan on going to law school to practice Criminal Law. I am a very responsible person. Through all the turbulence in my life I kept strong and never gave up. Credit explanation: I was a struggling mother, student, and partner. I had to manage my work schedule and go to school full time. When everything was to much I had to cut my hours at work which eventually meant less income. My boyfriend at the time had a steady job and was able to support us until he broke his wrist and thumb. He then was unable to work until after surgery. We then had to start from square one, a whole new job search. This set us back a whole lot. After he found a job we then again were hit with a big crisis which was the death of his grandmother. He went into a depression and started up a habit of drinking. This habit eventually cost him many jobs, late bills, he was then very abusive. I woke up one morning and thought to myself something needed to be done. My credit was going down the drain since I was the only one with a steady job and supporting the three of us. It was a very hard time. My credit suffered a lot. I would just like to start over. How do I plan to re-pay loan back: If I buy this home I will have help paying the mortgage. My parents, sister, and I will all be living in this home I plan to purchase. With the help of my family I will be able to pay my bills and re-pay this loan on time. After the home purchase, in time I plan to re-finance and pull the equity out to pay off all my debt. The reason for the home purchase: I grew up in a one bdrm apartment. All my life I've dreamt of having my own room. We migrated here from the Phillipines when I was just one years old. My parents wanted a better life for us and to achieve the american dream of someday owning their own home. Now that I'm older with a child of my own I watch as my parents slowly give up the dream of possibly owning their own home. I'm realizing that my parents are getting older and I can't bear the thought of knowing that they will never have a place that they can truly say is theirs. When my mom left to the U.S she made a promise to her mother that no matter what under any circumstances she would take care of them and help them as much as she could. My mom has never once broke her promise. When I was younger I decided to make the same promise to my mom that one day I would help make their one dream a reality. My parents have sacrificed so much. Some of my past choices have affected my credit but I'm fighting to overcome those barriers. I'm not looking back instead I'm moving towards the future hoping for a better life. I've realized that one of our biggest mistakes is not in failing but it's in giving up everytime you fail.......Remember theres always sunshine after the storm... |
