I'm re-writing my listing (my final try) to take into account the various information that I have learned by reading the various Prosper forums. I'm hopeful that I can provide a more accurate description and focus on what you, the lender, are looking for. You can also review my RML thread on the Prosper forum. This loan would be to pay off my 1998 Ford Mustang so that I can sell it before winter truly started. I then plan to rely on public transportation for at least 6 months. I also know that getting this loan has/and will not be an easy task so I am making a final listing and will not relist until my credit score goes up. This would be my second loan with Prosper, and as such, I am not allowed to switch to a group that completes vetting. I have attached my pay stub to try and help self-vett. So here is my information:

Salary: ($43,380/year) (Please see my most recent pay stub)
Employment: IT/Training for a law firm
Years Employed: 3 years in March

Assets:      401K: $5,864 (please see attached 401K balance sheet)
                Stock Investment Club: $700
1998 Ford Mustang: Kelly Blue Book (Fair condition: $3,475) I am looking sell this asset after Prosper loan.

Budget:
Net Income: $2300/month
Rent (cable, Internet, heat included): $500
Car Payment: $250
Insurance: $135
Gas: $75
Personal Loan (parents): $200
Prosper: $35
Food and Entertainment: $200-350
401K Loan: $87
Student Loans$ 200 (in forbearance)
Stock Investment Club: $50

Net after expenses: $768 +/- $150 for variance in food/entertainment
Net after Prosper loan: $1153 +/- $150 for variance in food/entertainment. After obtaining the Prosper loan, I will no longer have a $250 (car payment) and $135 Insurance payment).

My Credit
My Prosper credit profile shows that 7 "now delinquent" for a total of $4,462. I can honestly say that their hasn't been a negative mark added to my credit report in the past two years and there isn't anything currently delinquent. I have paid my Prosper loan on time every month for the past year (and I'm ahead of schedule) as well as paid my car payment on time every month for the almost 3 years I have had the vehicle.

Why hasn't my debt been completely paid off?
The answer, while not a good one, is that all of this debt was written off and the creditors didn't pursue it aggressively through collections. I have made great progress in the process of paying them back started paying back. In fact, I recently paid off a $1400 collection.

Have I learned from my mistakes?
Yes. I have taken several financial planning and budgeting courses from a local credit union. I have also significantly reduced my food/entertainment expenditures by bringing my lunch to work and by not
