Hello, I am a 13 year veteran ground and flight paramedic requesting funding for equipment to assist in starting a CPR/AED training company. I have over 10 years experience in the instruction and management of CPR, AED, 1st Aid and advanced medical life support courses. My plan for business is to work my established contacts in the local medical field such as physician and Dental offices and provide them with quality, consistent, and fairly priced education in these required topics. In my area, we have no dedicated firms providing such education and many times these medical professionals find themselves driving 1-2 hours away to recieve this instruction. As such, I need to purchase my initial outlay of equipment: CPR manikins (Child, Infant and Adult), Advanced Airway Simulator and Advanced Life Support manikins. I am also required to maintain a small library of the required textbooks for student use before the course that will likely be purchased by the student but at the time of the course and not in advance. I have applied and recieved my federal tax ID# under the business name: Lifestar Training Solutions. I have secured some of my equipment but am really in need to the remaining $2300 appox for maniking/books/materials to get off the ground. This is a new request as I withdrew my initial request which was short of the total I really need as I forgot to include the costs for a needed infant manikin in my totals and I made a mistake in the inital relisting earlier today.
