Purpose of loan:
Made a mistake, I paid for something on my credit card instead of selling stock to pay for it. The market went down and now I will be stuck with this debt for a while. So I figured I could pay interest to others on Prosper instead of paying it to Citibank or taking a loss on my stocks. The loan request will directly in the card, I will pay the remaining balance with my cash in savings and paychecks.

My financial situation:
I have been in hightech for 14+ years working for well known firms like Cisco, Nortel, LSI Logic and Lockheed-Martin. I have been a high earner that has tried to keep a low burn rate, while saving up to buy a home in the Silicon Valley with a traditional loan and down payment (I refuse to do one of those interest only 3-5 year ARM, call me old fashion if you will). Almost every vehicle I have bought has been paid for by cash. Right now the only major blemish on my credit record is that Citibank card which I nearly maxed out to pay for my wedding location.
