Hello fellow Prosper Lenders and Borrowers, First, I want to take a moment and thank all of you who bided to get my first loan funded. You believed in my dream to keep my business thriving. And I thank you. With any business, there are challenges to overcome. And I?m now on the threshold of a whole new challenge for my business. Next year, new EPA laws are going into effect in most states, particularly in California where I do 90% of my business. In an effort to enforce the new clean air laws, the state of California will require any vehicle older than 2007 emitting diesel particles must have retrofits installed to limit the amount of diesel emissions that come from the vehicle. Depending on the type on diesel engine you have, this is a substantial fix for older model vehicles, and very costly. I?m faced with meeting the requirements of this new regulation. And I?m asking for a second loan in the amount of $12,000 to pay-off my previous loan and to make the necessary repairs on my equipment to bring my vehicle up to code. My business has continued to grow over the years, and shows no sign of slowing down. The freight is steady year around, and the company is solid.
