I am a sophmore in Boston University, School of Management. Before I lived in Boston, I lived in the Los Angeles, CA, area. I attended Harvard-Westlake School of North Hollywood, CA.

I am of HIspanic origin, since my parents are from Mexico. I was born in Mexico City; my family moved to the U.S. when I was three months old. I speak English and I am very proficient in Spanish.

The majority of my friends both from High School and College come from wealthy families too. The majority of my friends in College are foreigners mainly from Western Europe and India. I enjoy soccer and sports in general.

Currently, I am working in one of my uncle's business, a website, www.sportsandmoney.com. My uncle has offered me to buy a portion of his business, 5% for $15,000 (I am requesting a loan for $8,000 since I alaready have the additional $7,000 from personal savings) and I want to do it since I believe in the business model. My line of work is to whatever is needed in the business, from dealing with the software developers to obtain the necessary operating licenses, dealing with the credit card processors, etc. My current salary is $2,500 a month.

My father takes care of the College and my living expenses, so all my earnings are available to repay the loan.

If needed, although I want to avoid this as much as possible, my father could loan me the money to pay off the loan that I am requesting, although much of the decision to request the loan in prosper.com instead of doing it from my father, is because I would like to "cut the umblical cord" as much as possible.

Thank you.
