Purpose of loan: A few years back, I incurred some credit card debt when my vehicle broke down on me. Only recently have I begun to get things back in order again and would like to pay off the credit cards I owe and get my vehicle fixed up. Also, repaying a family friend who loaned me some emergency money would be a part of this as well. Also, I had listed a previous loan request but due to a clerical error on my part (incorrectly had the wrong phone number for work), it wasn't approved and I hope the same people who bid before will choose so again. My financial situation: For the past two years, I have had money taken out of my checking account as a part of debt counseling program. I realize that it was a huge mistake taking that program on and basically turning my back on the companies who had extended me credit. I don't wish to keep this going on for another three years and feel that if given the loan, I can pay them back, get my car fixed up (estimated $1600.00) and repay my friends who loaned me money a few years ago. The money that I am currently paying for my combined bills would be replaced by the Prosper loan and as such, my expenses might go down as a result.
