Purpose of loan: Howdy, folks. I'm new to Prosper - about ten days in. I'm having a wonderful time loaning money out to folks. I'd love to have some Prosperians who are comfortable with a sure thing return (well, a sure thing short of a meteor hitting my condo, I should say) at a lower interest rate giving me a pile of money I can then loan out in a more speculative fashion to other Prosperians who are trying to build up their credit. And since I'm becoming active in the Prosper community by loaning money out, I'd like to experience what Prosperians who are asking for loans experience - ergo this loan request. My initial loan request - which got to 40% funded - was for $25K at 8.5%. This time around I've bumped up the return up a bit, to see if I can generate more interest in my loan. My financial situation: I own a $2M/year business. I have impeccable credit. My $76K credit balance is a HELOC (I carry no other revolving debt), and Wells Fargo tells me that it's actually at about $52K. I guess Experian is tracking things a bit more slowly than I am. In my personal life I pay debts early. In my business life I pay debts early. I have been working on keeping my credit clean since I was about 18. My low DTI and AA rating bear that out, and 22 years later I'm pretty happy with the way things have come to pass. While I could pay this loan off right away, I promise (really - I PROMISE) that if the rate goes to 9% or less, to keep it at least one year, to make sure you folks get a few bucks back on your original investment. (And if it stays above 9%, all bets are off and I might pay it back more quickly. Sorry about that. Bid it down.) For more info about me, check out my profile. And please feel free to ask me questions. I'm pretty impressed with Prosper and how things work around here - I'm looking forward to continuing to play on both sides of what Prosper offers to Do Well by Doing Good. Thanks for reading through this, and thanks for investing in other people's dreams. That's nice of you. Monthly net income: $ 13K, more or less Monthly expenses: $ 7K, more or less |
