Hi, we are Pete and Lucy. We are the parents of Sherry (GaiasGrotto), we have watched her spend the last 1 ½ years doing market research and learning how to run a business. The idea behind Gaia?s Grotto is a guilt free shopping experience because everything that she offers is either Eco-friendly, People Safe, Fair Trade or for Spiritual Development. Ten months ago, we gave her the money to start her business online. Over the last year, she has gathered advisors who can help her succeed. We want to give her the opportunity to make her business proposition a reality. We are asking for $20,000 for capital equipment expenditures like displays, a register, POS/inventory tracking software, inventory and the like. With this set up, we will be responsible for the loan and she will be responsible for paying us back. We took our daughter and her son in so that we could fully support them while she makes this business manifest. We support this venture, and we have the income to cover this loan. We would have had the cash on hand to give her had we not just finished construction on our new home. Once I (Pete) am home from Iraq where I am working as civilian support for the armed forces I have jobs lined up operating heavy machinery at the Houston Ship Channel.
