Purpose of loan: I am in need of a loan in addittion to the small one I took out on Prosper some time ago. I really need to just consolidate all my different (small) debts, and I have a few expenses that need my immediate attention, i.e. apartment repairs, work related/career development expenses etc. My financial situation: My situation is the following.. I am a very responsible, hard-working and intelligent person. I graduated an Ivy League university about 5 years ago, and I currently work for an investment bank. I unfortunately ran into some emergency expenses some years back, and I was extremely irresponsible in the way I went about paying these expenses - credit cards, cash advances, etc. I have been paying for those mistakes ever since. I have, howver re-established some credit and good faith. I currently have 2 credit cards and a Prosper loan in the amount of $2,550, which have all been paid on time since being opened. This has not been enough to boost my credit score/rating quite yet, but I am well on my way. In fact, just let you all know, my credit score is actually about 600, and I absolutely can't figure out why Prosper has listed me as HR. I earn a VERIFIABLE six-figure salary, and additionally, even though I am not allowed to use this for Prosper's income verification purposes, I will receive a guaranteed six-figure bonus in mid-February of 2008. I have very little debt as you can all see from my extremely low DTI The 9% number includes the amount of this loan that I am requesting). I am really seeking the Prosper community's help in getting my life back on track. You have all helped me already with my first loan, and now I hope that you can all continue to help me get to the next level, as I have proven my good will by paying my first loan on time each month. It absolutely kills me that I have to even offer to pay 35% on a loan, knowing my income and income potential, but unfortunately this is my only option at this point...And I am glad there is such a community that offers this type of help.
