As I am about to begin my senior year in the electrical engineering program at Virginia Tech I would like to secure a loan to consolidate my current debts. In particular I hope to obtain a lower rate than I currently pay for the laptop I was required to buy for school, plus I would like to equalize some other minor debts so I am not worrying about multiple financial obligations while I finish up my classes.
Please help a responsible, hard working college student raise my credit score so that when I enter the real world there will be a chance for me to buy a car or house. I currently do research in the field of power electronics, which is responsible for many environmentally-friendly technologies such as fuel cells and hybrid electric automobiles. My credit would be much better if it weren't for a large financial institution taking advantage of university students in need by hitting me with a 29.9% APR.
