I graduated from Colorado State University in December of 2004 with a BS in Biochemistry and Microbiology. After college it took me longer then anticipated to get a job in my field and during that time the only means of living was my credit cards. I now work at National Jewish Medical and Research Center in Denver as a laboratory researcher, doing genetic-based studies on patients with Chronic Beryllium Disease. I have been working at National Jewish for over three years. I also work two part-time jobs, one at an outdoors store called Recreational Equipment, Inc. and the other as a personal assistant for my handicap aunt. I found out about prosper.com a year ago through my roommate who has as a strong background in finance. Since I met him, he has helped me lower credit card rates, obtain better financing on my vehicle, and helped me create a budget and simple cash flow model to track my progress. I am in a good cash position as I pay more than the minimum payment on my credit cards each month but believe prosper.com would help me accomplish my goal of being debt free even quicker. I only have 2 credit cards with a balance on them: UsBank - $1000 @ 15.49% APR Bank of America - $6900 @ 11.99% APR How I will use my prosper.com loan: 1) UsBank Visa credit card: $1000.00 2) Bank of America credit card: $6,840.00 3) Prosper.com fee: $160.00 Total amount requesting: $8,000.00 Monthly financial details: Net income after payroll deductions from all sources: $2,300 Rent: $425 Car Loan: $263 Cell Phone: $55 Insurance: $75 Prosper loan: $166 Student Loans: $100 Food and living: $350 ************************** Total Monthly Expenses: $1434 I will have $866 left in discretionary income to make the payments on my Prosper loan. This will be my second prosper loan to decrease my credit card debt. I received my first prosper loan in April of 2007 and have not had a missed or late payment. Through my bio above I have pointed out the reason for my debts and my desire to reduce and ultimately eliminate them. I realize it?s a long road ahead but with Prospers help I hope to make that journey a little shorter. I am a very responsible person; I understand my financial position well, I know what I need to do, and would simply like a little extra help. If you have any other questions, feel free to email me. Thanks for considering me for a Prosper loan. |
