Purpose of loan:The purpose of this loan is to free me from
oppressive interest rates. I have been making payments above the
minimum amount (I usually round up to the next $100 with a minimum
increase of $50) yet can't seem to make any progress in reducing my
balances. I have been employed full time since I graduated in 2005 as a
financial analyst. I have researched several options for reducing the
interest rate on my credit card debt and think Prosper is the best fit
for me. I would much rather pay interest to people similar to myself
than credit card companies that I have grown weary of dealing with. The
automatic payment is a great fit for my financial situation as well. If
this loan is fully funded it will reduce my monthly expenses by as much
as $150. My current weighted average interest rate is just over 28%;
when I saw that number come through in excel I knew something had to
give! Help me be free of revolving debt in 36 months (or less)! My financial situation: My current gross income is $51,000. I am weeks away from a review where I stand to get a nice raise (subjective as this may be, I'm excited for it!). I live at home where I enjoy close to expense free living. My DTI is within the range considered "safe" by prosper and my credit score is on its way up! I started a lease of a car in March of this year and have seen absolutely no ill affects on my lifestyle or ability to meet financial commitments. I have a strong grasp of my financial situation and can't wait to start making payments (I never thought I would say that, but after paying bills today, it's true!). Monthly net income: $ 2981.96 Monthly expenses: $ 1,570.00 Housing: $ 0.00 Insurance: $ 95.00 Car expenses: $ 365.00 Utilities: $ 0.00 Phone, cable, internet: $ 60.00 Food, entertainment: $ 300.00 Clothing, household expenses $ 100.00 Credit cards and other loans: $ 500.00 (this would be replaced with the Prosper payment) Other expenses: $150 (gas, prescriptions etc.) |
