Purpose of loan: The purpose of this loan is to pay down my credit card bills. My financial situation: We had bought our own home about 1 1/2 years ago and since then our bills had begun to mount (property taxes in NJ very high #1 in the nation). We were still doing all right until the credit card companies decided that we had not paid enough in interest so, they decided to raised their rates. The classic "bait & switch." I will not default on this loan. If I am laid off before the 3 year loan period expires, my 401K will be enough to cover this loan as well as pay off the remaining debt.
