Purpose of loan: I am re-listing my request again for trying to obtain a loan from Prosper to buy an used car for my teenager. I am in the process of a divorce. My wife and I filed bankruptcy several years ago due to her job loss. It was discharged in 2005. I am in the slow process of trying to get my credit back on track after the bankruptcy. I have errors on my credit report that I have disputed. My credit report lists that I behind on items that were filed in the bankruptcy which have been paid and discharged. I have mailed in the appropiate documents to get these items removed and corrected from my report which should bring up my credit score. My financial situation: I have a steady job and I have been with my current employer since 1993 as a supervisor. Before that I served 4 years in the U.S. Army. I do promise that my payments to Prosper will be made on time each month. I am not about to make a mistake with this opportunity to start getting my credit back on track. I have over $1000.00 left over each month to be used, not only for my Prosper Payment but to re-build my savings and for emergencies. I hope to be able to invest in Prosper in the future to help others who are trying to re-build their credit.
