Hello & thank you for considering my loan request. Currently, I work as a computer specialist in the evenings at SummitTech Communications based in Coral Springs, Florida. I have worked in this position for the past 4 1/2 years. Lenders can rest assured that while pursuing my dream of harness racing, I plan to continue in my present position, which pays quite well. I attended the Art Institute located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where I received my BS degree in Computer Science. I am 32 years old and single, probably due to the fact that I am a workaholic. I live on my own. My family means everything to me. A few years back my father started dialysis and my mother stopped working to care for him. I assured my mother that I will start this business as an Owner, Trainer, and Driver of standardbred horses. They witness all the joy this gives to me and in turn, I just want them to live comfortably and enjoy the rest of their lives. Early this year, I started following my dream to become a harness driver and am being trained by one of the best harness (standardbred) drivers and trainers in the country. I also help the trainer by working with him at the training facility in Boynton Beach, Florida where I trot the horses around the track, maintain them, and get them ready to race in the Poconos and in Pompano Beach. I truly fell in love with what I am doing and have never felt as good as when working with these beautiful horses, then watching them race. It is such an amazing feeling! I am currently working towards my driver's license so I may compete at Pompano Park Racetrack. An added benefit to all this since I got involved in horse racing is that I have never seen my father so proud. One of my major goals is for my father to see me race professional before it is too late. If I am fortunate to be funded through the lenders of Prosper I plan to rent at least 2 stalls at the South Florida training facility in Boynton Beach, Florida. I will also be starting out in the horse / harness racing field by purchasing 2 horses to train and then race at Pompano racetrack. The last horse I trained and cared for, Taco Hanover, won his first 2 races at Pocono Downs before he was claimed. All I am asking is for the opportunity to follow my dreams. Explanation of Past Public Record/Numerous Inquires: The past public record on my credit report was from a bankruptcy discharged in 2000 and 6 recent inquires are for consideration for a mortgage. I recently renewed my lease for another year but was considering purchasing a home. Monthly Net Income: I earn $2,692/mo. net from my position as a Computer Specialist. Additionally, I have over $20,000 in property assets and investments, as well as $15,000 in a retirement account and 401k plan. Monthly Expenses BEFORE PROSPER Loan: $1,989 Housing: $1,009 Medical Insurance: $ paid by employer Auto Insurance: paid in full 09/08 Car expenses: $80 Utilities: $120 Phone, cable, internet: $100 Clothing, household expenses $100 Credit cards and other loans: $580 As you can see, I will have over $703 left with which to pay my Prosper loan. Maintaining and improving my excellent ?A? credit is extremely important to me. I personally want to reassure the Prosper lenders that their investment in me is quite safe. Repayment of my Prosper loan will be a top priority each month, with payments automatically withdrawn from my bank. I sincerely promise to make all my payments on time & never default on this loan.
