I am a college student entering my third year, for the past two years I
qualified for something called the Board of Governors Fee Waiver. It
basically allowed me to attend school without the worry of tuition
costs. This year my application was declined. So now I have to come up
with about 700$ to cover the cost of my summer and fall classes. The
units are pretty cheap compared to other states, at only 26$ each. The
tuition costs however have busted my already paper thin budget. I am a hard worker. The average student only takes 8-12 units per semester. 12 is considered fulltime. For the past two I have averaged 18 units. I will be graduating next spring with 4 total degrees. Graphic Communications, Digital Media, Television Production and General Education. In addition I have maintained a weekend job on campus as a security guard. The pay isnt great but it has allowed me to live month to month without much worry. I hate to be asking for somuch, but thanks to state regulations this is the minimum amount I am able to. https://www.prosper.com/public/legal/states_and_licenses.aspx so to be fair I will outline exactally what I plan to spend it on 1025 - Paid Back immeditally 700 - Summer and Fall Tuition 200 - July Bills 600 - August Bills and Rent 25 - Prosper Fees All I can do is promise that the full amount will be paid back by years end, I wont BS around this. I am trying to set up a good line of credit and dont want something like this to ruin it for me. Thanks |
