Hello fellow Prosper Lenders! I am an established Cinematographer, working in Los Angeles (and around the world) for over 13 years. Recently I decided to get into equipment ownership and rentals, purchasing a High Definition camera at the end of last year. This loan will help with further equipment purchases. Purpose of loan: This loan will pay for a new Jib package. The rental price of this jib is $750 to $800 per day, and I expect to rent it at least 2 to 4 days per month. This Jib does not need to go with my camera package, so it may pick up more rental days as I am able to run that jib with any camera system. My financial situation: My current camera system brings in $800 to $1000 per day, on top of my day rate for my time. To date this year, my camera has brought in $18,900 in rentals. By adding the additional rental of the Jib, I would have brought in an additional $10,000 in rentals this past year on shows where I used someone else's jib instead of my own. I do own my home, and have a rental house that I own and run. It currently rents for $2260/month, with a mortgage payment of $1600/month. In addition, I run a small side business that brings in about $1000 per month. My wife also works in the film industry, and brings in approximately an additional $56,000 per year. Please note I am also a prosper lender, with $1800 in 34 loans. I will have this payment automatically deducted from my checking account (which is already verified). Monthly net income: $ 10275 Current Camera rentals: $1575 (average) My salary: $3000 (average) Wife salary: $4000 Side business: $1000 Rental Income: $660 Monthly expenses: $ 5560 Housing: $ 3100 Insurance: $ 800 (life and car, housing is included above) Car expenses: $ 500 (car payment and gas) Utilities: $ 160 Phone, cable, internet: $ 200 Food, entertainment: $ 400 Household expenses $ 400 Credit cards and other loans: $ (as needed) Savings: $200 I declined to include the payment on the cards, as we always pay more than the max amount. This business varies month to month on the amount of income we can generate, depending on the jobs out there and needs of clients. Therefore, the amount we pay on the cards varies by what we take in. As mentioned before, I am a fellow prosper lender. I know the value of paying things back. The DQs above were from 2003, when the actors struck. I was late on a few payments back then, but always came back to good standing as soon as I could. In addition to the above, I have about $160k (even in todays market) in equity in the rental property, $12000 in IRAs (combined) and $7000 in savings (combined) to draw from should I hit a rough patch again. I have started this listing at a high rate to get the notice of a lot of people, but Im hoping that this loan will come down in rate to something below 15%. Please note that renting my jib one day per month will cover the cost of this loan, even at 25% APR. I can provide to lenders privately a link to my website and Internet Movie Database, "verifying" my employment history. In addition, I can provide a list of equipment this will purchase. Thanks for your consideration. |
