Purpose of loan: What I thought was manageable debt suddenly became unmanageable when my rates were more than doubled out of the blue. Minimum payments just don?t pay down the principle with a 27% rate. Each month I?m paying $217 in finance charges on a $300 minimum payment. I want to pay the balance of these two accounts and close them. Let me pay you a fair amount instead of supporting a multi-billion dollar corporation in their quest for world domination. They sure know when they have you over a barrel. My financial situation: I?ve been with the same employer for 15 years. Starting as a laborer and now I?m responsible for all phases of a roof construction company. I?ve been pouring every extra dollar into reducing my debt and while my debt goes down and my income goes up my rates just keep climbing. I?m always on time, never late, with all my accounts in good standing. My credit is very important to me. I just want to get back on top of my finances. This year I got married (first time) and joined the Army National Guard. My wife just joined the Air National Guard. With both our enlistment bonuses we expect to have $35,000 within a year and a half. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. I just want to stop paying the bank NOW. My wifes income adds about $1200 to our net income. Monthly net income: $ 2,584 Monthly expenses: $ 3,024 Housing: $ 625 Insurance: $ 70 Car expenses: $ 300 Utilities: $220 Phone, cable, internet: $ 190 Food, entertainment: $ 550 Clothing, household expenses $ 200 Credit cards and other loans: $ 659 Other expenses: $ 210 |
