Purpose of loan: Since our marriage in 2003 my wife and I have had the desire for a baby. Because of a childhood surgery I had the only way to do that now is with an In Vitro procedure with ICSI and TESE. Insurance does not cover these procedures and payments are not possible, everything must be paid for at once. The estimated cost is between $12,000 and $15,000. Together we make a good annual income but do not have the savings to pay this all at once. Those of you that have been through this know how stressful it can be and age wise we can't wait much longer. We spent a couple years in the international adoption merry-go-round with no success. We are hoping to have this funded through Prosper so that we can realize the opportunity to love a child. My financial situation: I am a V.P. of Operations for a sales training/consulting firm and my wife is an employed RN - Staff Development Coordinator. We do not use credit cards and have never been involved in the 'revolving credit' mess, and we pay our bills. Because I have a home office, a portion of my home expenses are paid to me by my employer and that amount ($597.00) is shown deducted from the mortgage amount and expenses listed below.
