We are re-listing the loan because we made a Prosper Rookie Mistake, we hit the fund now button and did not allow the listing to run its full term. We are very sorry for our error, we have learned our lesson:) We are re-listing the loan and hope all you amazing Prosper Lenders will bid and fund it again. Purpose of loan: My Fiancee and I, getting married September 29th, are working hard together to create our dream company. We have both spent many years in the restaurant and food industry, the last 7 years for him in Restaurant Technology and Consulting and 5 years prior to that in Management and me as a Bartender and Server, and came up with a great idea for a new business venture in December, 2006. We created a North Carolina company, MY Place Media, LLC, and started building a website called MyFoodPlace.com. The idea is to create a community (Social Networking like MySpace/Facebook) online where restaurants, consumers/Foodies, food/restaurant related businesses, and industry workers can all come together. So we wrote a great business plan (happy to share it) rolled up our sleeves, and started making it happen!!! We are almost done and will use this loan to finish the technology, we own all of the code and designed it from the ground up. Restaurants can create a webpage and get access to great revenue tools like Online Ordering and E-Marketing. Consumers/Foodies can find great deals, post recipies, write reviews, and share their love of food with friends both new and old. Food/Restaurant related businesses can promote their services and the industry workers can access benefits, share stories (good and bad) and find new gigs. An amazing idea if I say so myself! We have a full marketing plan, a great group of people ready to dig in and help, and the fortitude to make this happen; all we need now is a lottle help from you wonderful people. You can watch the proceeds of your loan in action as the website launches and grows! We love the idea of peer-to-peer lending and want to engage in it. My financial situation: I shifted careers about 3 years ago and went to hair school. It gave me the opportunity to tap into my creative/artist side and still interact with people daily. I love what I do! Two years of hard work have produced a wonderful book of clients and a salary never before imagined when I was waiting tables. As my income, expenses, and DTI Ratio show I can easily manage the loan payment. Monthly net income: $ 4,200.00 after taxes Monthly expenses: $ 1,100 (we split the bills and he handles 75% of it) Housing: $ 300 Insurance: $ 0 Car expenses: $ 0 - we only have one, we live in a walking town:) Utilities: $ 100 Phone, cable, internet: $ 100 Food, entertainment: $ 200 Clothing, household expenses $ 200 Credit cards and other loans: $ 200 Other expenses: $ 0 My Fiancee pays 75% of the household bills, his net income is $5,000 per month. That is why my monthly expenses are so low. We have been steadily funding the company and keeping it debt free, until this loan of course:) Out of that he covers the following: Rent, utilities, car, insurance, phone: $ 2,900 per month Other expenses: $1,000 per month Whatever is left goes to the business. |
