Purpose of loan: To receive a discount on our hospital bill and lower our over all monthly payments. My wife recently delivered our second son and due to complications our hospital bill was high even after insurance (everyone is fine now, thank God!) My income is to high for us to get any financial assistance on it but the hospital has offered us a 35% discount on the total bill if we pay it off by the end of 2007. The discount will save us over $3000 which is worth getting a loan for. I checked into taking it out of my retirement but they will hammer me on penalties. I also want to pay off the other doctor bills, a cc and our dell account. Paying all of these off will save us $334 dollars every month in payments. To be paid off: Mercy hospital $6707 (this includes the discount), Dr. Holl $1973, the anesthesiologist $556, Bank of America $5760, Dell $844 and the prosper loan fee $160 = $16000. My financial situation: I am a foreman for a company that builds cellular towers. I have been with them for over 6 years and have an excellent reputation in my field. My credit went down early this year due to late payments. We decided to "flip" a house and it didn't work out as planned. I had to pay the extra mortgage longer than expected and paid other bills late as a result. The house sold in March and I definately won't be doing that again! I will pay this loan on time every month! Monthly net income: $ 3800 Monthly expenses: $ Housing: $ 937 Insurance: $ 120 Car expenses: $ 673 Utilities: $ 220 Phone, cable, internet: $ 75 Food, entertainment: $ 180 Clothing, household expenses $ 50 Mercy Hospital: $385 (to be paid with prosper) Dr. Holl: $200 (to be paid with prosper) Anesthesiologist: $100 (to be paid with prosper) B of A: $210 (to be paid with prosper) Dell: $50 (to be paid with prosper) This loan will reduce our monthly payments from $3200 to $2866!
